About

I have had a passion for photographing life ever since my father gave me my first camera at the age of 7. Photography for me is a way to tell a story. We have all seen photos that evoke emotion and move the heart. That is the type of photo I seek.

Educated as a photojournalist at Western Kentucky University, I took my passion on the road working for over 10 newspapers and many magazines. My work has been displayed in numerous publications including ESPN Magazine, The Dallas Morning News, New York Post, Martha Stewart Weddings, Habitat for Humanity International, California Thoroughbred, and Matrix.

In 2001, I decided to take a leap of faith and returned to Louisville, KY, which is where I was raised. It was then that I began photographing commercial projects, as well as documentary weddings. Weddings are one of the most exciting events for me to photograph: the moment and emotion all captured while not being intrusive. It is my goal to document your wedding, not to create it. I stand by, capturing your moments, while not interrupting them. Of course we take family portraits and some traditional style photographs, but we strive to let you enjoy the day. That means not telling you what to do every second of your wedding.
